Hillary Clinton Joins The 2016 Presidential Race
Just a few years ago, America entered a new era of its politics by voting in it’s first black president. The wind of change began to blow and now with new elections on the way it might turn into a tornado. Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State announced that she will run for president in 2016.
She admitted that America is still in an unfavorable position, but it’s not giving up at all. In her own words, America will always stay on top and her main priority as future president will be keeping that strength and keeping main American values high, like family. “Everyday Americans need a champion, and I want to be that champion. You can do more than just get by. You can get ahead, and stay ahead. Because when families are strong, America is strong.”
She is taking this election very seriously and she will start with her tour to earn votes next week. First stop on her trip will be Iowa where she will stay for few days and after that she’ll head to New Hampshire and South Carolina.
Her plan is to spend next six to eight weeks on the road to reach out to voters and to build up her grassroots support. The final phase will be in May when she’ll hold her first rally to kick off the campaign with all her supporters by her side.
From her first video that announced her candidacy, it shows that she is planning on a mixture of a modern and traditional campaign. In the video that was posted on her web site at 3pm ET shows traditional American outlands, families, young people, same-sex couples and in the end Hillary herself.
Also, her campaign center said that they plan to reach out to their potential voters both using social media, internet and regular in person communication with people. They think that this combination will help her campaign reach the maximum number of people in the best possible way. They said that former State Secretary wants to be the people’s choice and champion.
Hillary decided to use some new methods for this campaign and the first thing she changed was her stuff. Instead of having just strong loyalist on her team this time she will try with new people like Stephanie Hannon, Google executive, as her chief technology officer and Teddy Goff who used to be Obama’s key digital strategist.
With new perspective on her campaign and serious measures taken in order to surpass her competition Hillary seems to be one of the strongest candidates for next year’s elections. If everything goes according to her plan it’s very possible that America will get its first woman president.
